Green Smart Food Services is a unique provider to the food service industry focused on a single important issue: changing the way the industry handles all their waste. To that end we are proponents of disposable products made from natural, compostable materials. We are dedicated to providing the industry with a sustainable solution – and the ORCA, for which we are an exclusive distributor, is the key that offers an on-site composting answer that the traditional composting industry is not close to offering.
The ORCA is a 24-hour composting machine that handles food scrap and compostable waste and allows food services to reduce their trash haul costs, garbage mess and landfill overload. We market this nationally through our own dedicated sales force and a partnership with the Hode Group, based in Chicago, IL.
We believe that facilities and their caterers understand they have a responsibility to minimize negative impact on the environment. We know that the end users - the diners, attendees, exhibitors, fans, audiences, students, faculty and employees appreciate being part of the green movement - and it is our goal to expedite the process of facilities going green.
